Transportation Project Manager

Burnsville, Minnesota

What we’re looking for in talent and experience.

We’re seeking a qualified Civil Engineering candidate with 6-plus years of experience leading and/or acting as project manager on municipal and transportation projects. We’re especially interested if you excel in several or all of the following:

  • Preliminary and Final Design plans for major roadway projects
  • Corridor studies, alternative analysis, and feasibility studies
  • Permitting and environmental documentation
  • Construction staging and maintenance of traffic
  • Construction administration
  • Roundabout experience a plus
  • Candidates should currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Minnesota or have the ability to obtain a Minnesota license in the next six months

You’ll lead and assist on various civil engineering projects in both a design and management role. This includes following design standards and agency technical requirements, communicating with clients, presenting at project-related meetings and conferences, and performing a variety of other assignments related to municipal, transportation, and planning projects. You’ll also assist with developing responses to requests for proposals, letters of interest, requests for qualifications, etc.

  • Experience working with regulatory agencies

Stuff we’re stopping short of assuming.

If you’ve gotten this far, we know these are things you have, and you probably have them in spades. But just in case:

  • Knowledge of CADD software, preferably MicroStation
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supervising staff
