Project Overview

Olmsted County selected us to perform an intersection control evaluation, plus develop concept layouts, traffic analysis, and cost estimates examining two signalized and one roundabout alternatives for intersection control at CSAH 25 (16th Street) and CR 125 (Mayowood Road) in Rochester.

Based on our work on that phase of the project, we were selected by the City of Rochester to provide preliminary design, final design, traffic engineering, and surveying services on along the CSAH 25 (16th Street) Corridor from Salem Road to South Broadway. Along the corridor we designed two traffic signals and provided upgrades to four more traffic signals, in addition to design for full reconstruction of the CSAH 25/CR 125 intersection and approaches.

Beyond Design

Our traffic analysis included benefit-cost analysis, capacity analysis, pedestrian facilities, traffic-mode simulation, downstream gap analysis associated with the roundabout options, and traffic signal warrant studies.
