Project Overview
Beyond Design
We were selected to provide construction services on this project, including construction inspection, materials testing, and construction staking. Our team also provided record drawings, material testing, and project documentation in accordance with federal funding requirements. This project included federal funds and was completed following the Delegated Contract Process (DCP).
On this project, the construction plans did not accurately reflect the field conditions, and our staff redesigned nearly 75% of the horizontal and vertical trail alignments in order to make a constructible design, while still meeting all federal aid deadlines.
Community Responsibility
Local and regional concerns included economic and public safety impacts, construction staging, bridge characteristics, recreational use of the area, and the overall construction schedule. We worked closely with both local and regional representatives to ensure their voices were heard throughout the life of the project.
