Fort Snelling Upper Post Projects

Stonebrooke Engineering is providing preliminary design, concept development and historical coordination efforts for the Hennepin County Roads Improvements.  This project involves full street and storm sewer reconstruction of CSAH 204 through the Upper Post.  Design efforts are being coordinated between the DNR, MnHPO, NPS, MPRB, MnDOT and Hennepin County, along with numerous other stakeholders out at Historic Fort Snelling. Due to Fort Snelling’s designation as a National Historic Landmark, all proposed improvements must be approved by the MnHPO and NPS. The project involves trail extensions, trail widening/reconstruction, and a way-finding signage plan to assist in routing trail users from the Fort Snelling LRT station to various destinations in the Historic Fort Snelling Site.
