Project Engineer

What we’re looking for in talent and experience.

We’re seeking a qualified Civil Engineering candidate with 4 to 10 years of experience to work on municipal and transportation projects. The candidate should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an Professional Engineer licensure (PE) in the State of Minnesota, or the ability to obtain the PE license within 12 months. We’re especially interested if you excel in several or all of the following:

  • Transportation design, including performing design tasks following design standards and agency technical requirements
  • Assist or lead teams in development of layouts and final design plans
  • Writing technical documents and reports
  • Project oversight of EITs and technicians
  • Performing a variety of other assignments related to municipal and transportation projects.

    • A commitment to engineering and advocating for reasonable and responsible solutions
    • Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • Knowledge of design software (MicroStation or AutoCAD
    • Construction oversight experience

    Stuff we’re stopping short of assuming.

    If you’ve gotten this far, we know these are things you have, and you probably have them in spades. But just in case:

    • Knowledge of CADD software, preferably MicroStation
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Experience supervising staff
